In yesterday’s post, I promised a part two to the ballerina trend. In my search for ballerina inspirations, I came across two gorgeous photo shoots from Ditte Isager and Jessica Claire that are perfect! For a wedding, it’s a concept I haven’t seen and would love to witness it first hand. But if you’re not planning a wedding, there is no reason you can’t plan a ballet inspired party! This theme would be great at a bridal shower, an evening of cocktails with your girlfriends or a birthday party! To re-create the look, muted pastels should be your color palette mixed with either gold or silver (I prefer gold), lots of feathers (think Black Swan) and tulle.
Want to introduce another color into the mix? How about a “barely mint”? It’s not typically a ballerina color way, it compliments well with the pale pinks, creams, charcoals that are usual ballerina-like colors. Also, the mint color compliments well for your fellow male beau! (Sometimes the pink can be too one-sided!)
Don’t forget about yesterday’s post, feel free to look and re-fresher yourself on more clothing inspirations.
As for the table setting, this photo shoot by Jessica Claire (jessicaclaire.net) is flawless! I’m loving the idea of tulle skirts for chandeliers (also depicted in the Ditte Isager photo shoot), rosette linens, gold chivalry chairs (complete with tulle skirt) and plus it has a striking balance of vintage meets modern. Another added bonus, there are great shots of the black swan to inspire the inner bad girl in you!
