William and Kate’s Royal Wedding Design Board

Royal wedding invitation

Just a couple days away from William and Kate’s royal wedding!  The press have maned their stations, bets are being made, predictions are being forecasted and the streets of London are filled with spectators waiting for the magical occasion to arrive. Why not add to the fuse and create my own design board of what I would love to see at the wedding.

Lots of white flowers

English Field Maple Trees in Westminster Abbey

The ceremony is being held at Westminster Abbey, a gorgeous cathedral in itself.  To complement it, we already know that English Field Maple Trees will be lining the aisle.  To add to the beauty of the trees, an overflow of white flowers should align the aisle and alter.

Nicole Richie in Marchesa

Princess Diana's Tiara

Christian Louboutin platforms

Kate should be wearing something fashion forward yet conservative.  I would love to see her in a long sleeve ball gown similar to Nicole Richie’s Marchesa wedding gown.  She could top it off with a tiara worn by Princess Diana, a pair of embellished closed toe platforms from a designer such as Christian Louboutin.  Lastly, bestowed on her ring finger the stunning blue sapphire ring (of course her something blue!).

White and Gold reception

Gold high-back chairs for the bride and groom

A grand wedding cake

From there the party will continue into the reception where the predicted-theme of white will be carried through.  The white should be highlighted by gold accents- gold chairs, silverware and the decor.

Only 48 hours till the big reveal!  What are your thoughts?

Sincerely, Kymberly
